Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service govern the use of the Pocket PDF app (the "Service") provided by Twinkle AI Labs (the "Operator"), and set out the rights and obligations of the Operator and its users. Twinkle AI Labs is not a company — it is the name under which an individual builds and runs these apps.

2. Changes to these Terms

1. These Terms take effect when posted within the Service or at an address designated by the Operator.
2. The Operator may amend these Terms, announcing any amendment together with its effective date in advance.
3. Amendments unfavourable to users are announced at least 30 days before they take effect.

3. What the Service does

The Operator provides the following functions.

• Merging several PDF documents, and splitting one to extract only the pages you want
• Converting photos and images into a PDF
• On-device OCR that reads text from scanned documents and images, and creates a searchable PDF
• Document analysis using an on-device model — reading the text, summarizing it, and finding dates, amounts and contacts
• Creating an unlocked copy of a password-protected PDF

All document processing happens on your device. Your documents and any password you enter are never sent to the Operator's servers.

Document analysis is available only on devices that support the on-device model. Whether a device supports it is decided by the device and its operating system and cannot be guaranteed by the Operator — on devices that do not, the feature is not shown at all.

4. Responsibility for your documents and the results

1. The Service is a tool that processes the documents you choose, following your instructions. Choosing which documents to process, and keeping and using the results, is your responsibility.
2. The unlock function must be used only on documents you are entitled to open. You are solely responsible for any consequence of using it on someone else's document without permission.
3. The Service does not modify your original file; it creates a new copy. Even so, the Operator recommends keeping a separate copy of important documents before processing them.
4. The results of document analysis are for reference. The summary produced by the on-device model, and the dates, amounts and contacts found by pattern matching, may be wrong or incomplete. A scan without a text layer is read from the image, so characters may be misread, and only the beginning of a long document may be read. The Operator does not warrant their accuracy or completeness.
5. Do not base important decisions — contractual, legal, financial or medical — on the analysis alone. Always check against the original document.

5. Ads

The Service may display ads so that it can be provided free of charge. Information collected in connection with ads is disclosed in the Privacy Policy.

6. Paid features

1. You may purchase "Remove ads" through Google Play in-app billing. It is a one-time purchase that remains in effect once bought.
2. Payment and refunds follow Google Play's payment and refund policies.
3. Your purchase is recorded on your device and in your Google Play account, and can be restored with the same account if you change devices.

7. Your obligations

You must not:

• Reverse-engineer the Service, or copy or distribute it without permission
• Interfere with the normal operation of the Service
• Infringe the rights of others

8. Limitation of liability

The Operator is not liable for any failure to provide the Service caused by events beyond the Operator's reasonable control, such as natural disasters or network outages.
