Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service govern the use of the Pocket PDF app (the "Service") provided by Twinkle AI Labs (the "Operator"), and set out the rights and obligations of the Operator and its users. Twinkle AI Labs is not a company — it is the name under which an individual builds and runs these apps.

2. Changes

Revisions and their effective dates are announced on Polaris and in the app policy screens: at least 7 days before ordinary changes and 30 days before material or unfavourable changes.

3. What the Service does

The Operator provides the following functions.

• Merging several PDF documents, and splitting one to extract only the pages you want
• Converting photos and images into a PDF
• On-device OCR that reads text from scanned documents and images, and creates a searchable PDF
• Creating an unlocked copy of a password-protected PDF
• Digital signing that places a handwritten signature or an official stamp image on the page you choose
• Rotating, deleting and reordering pages, and adding blank pages

All document processing happens on your device. Your documents and any password you enter are never sent to the Operator's servers.

Digital signing places an image of a signature or stamp on a document. It does not replace an electronic signature issued through identity verification or a seal registered with a public authority, and the legal effect of a signed document is determined by its recipient and the applicable laws.

You choose where to save or share documents. Files you export to external storage, cloud providers or other apps are handled under their policies and may remain after this app is uninstalled.

4. Responsibility for your documents and the results

1. The Service is a tool that processes the documents you choose, following your instructions. Choosing which documents to process, and keeping and using the results, is your responsibility.
2. The unlock function must be used only on documents you are entitled to open. You are solely responsible for any consequence of using it on someone else's document without permission.
3. The Service does not modify your original file; it creates a new copy. Even so, the Operator recommends keeping a separate copy of important documents before processing them.
4. Text read by OCR is for reference. It is read from an image, so blurry or tilted photos, handwriting and small print may be misread or missed. The Operator does not warrant its accuracy or completeness.
5. Do not base important decisions — contractual, legal, financial or medical — on OCR results alone. Always check against the original document.

5. Ads

The Service may display ads so that it can be provided free of charge. Information collected in connection with ads is disclosed in the Privacy Policy.

6. Fees, ad removal and refunds

Basic features are free; your carrier’s data charges may apply. Remove ads is purchased once at the price shown by Google Play and is not an automatically renewing subscription. Ads are removed when ownership is verified. Purchases can be restored using the same Google Play account. Request refunds through Google Play or contact twinkle.ai.labs@gmail.com. Statutory cancellation and refund rights are not limited by these terms.

7. Your obligations

You must not:

• Reverse-engineer the Service, or copy or distribute it without permission
• Interfere with the normal operation of the Service
• Infringe the rights of others

8. Limitation of liability

The Operator is not liable for any failure to provide the Service caused by events beyond the Operator's reasonable control, such as natural disasters or network outages.

Liability limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law. They do not exclude liability for the Operator’s intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
